Allan Vache’ is an internationally known jazz clarinetist. His show “Swingtime” presents the best of the music of the Swing Era.
The show celebrates the music of such jazz greats as Benny Goodman, Artie Shaw, Thomas “Fats” Waller, Duke Ellington, Count Basie, the Dorsey Brothers, Louis Armstrong and many more. As well as highlighting the great composers of that era like Gershwin, Porter, Berlin, Carmicheal, and Kern, just to name a few.
“Swingtime” is a jazz music show that will be enjoyed by young and old, for it presents music of an era when melody and “The Great American Songbook” were king.
The show features Vache’s clarinet along with such fine performers as vocalists Terry Blaine, Rebecca Kilgore or Banu Gibson, pianists Mark Shane or John Sheridan, and other well known jazz greats like Cornetist Warren Vache’ (the clarinetist’s brother and alumnus of Benny Goodman, and Rosemary Clooney) Trombonist John Allred, Vibraphonist John Cocuzzi, and many more.
The combination that will appear can vary from a trio to a Big Band. Groups can also appear with Symphony “Pops” orchestras with fine arrangements by pianist John Sheridan. “Swingtime” will be a welcome addition to any concert series.
